Mr Sylverain arrived in Orlando on June 5,1999 and started his activity on June 11th. He has been previously in touch with Henin International Services, with whom he has contracted in October 1998.

Why did you choose Florida?

I was dreaming about setting up my company there after coming several times in Miami for holidays. I appreciate Florida for its very pleasant way of living and its fiscal system, that I find more attractive than in France.

What type of activity did you have in France?

I was running a builder company with about fifty employees. Unfortunately, for financial reasons, I had to close the business.

In which area of business did you want to set up?

I wanted to take over a restaurant or any other business. I saw an add from Henin International Services in a French magazine. I made contact with this company to obtain information regarding my business plan. Thereafter, I signed a contract with Jerome Henin in their Paris office.

In what kind of company did you invest?

I invested in a dry-cleaning company. I employ 5 persons full time with a growth estimate of 25% per year, reaching already over $ 200,000 gross sales.

What kind of help did Henin International Services give you?

Henin International Services worked out the project and the business research. They took care of all the administrative and immigration formalities and paperwork, obtaining an investor visa valid for 5 years and renewable if my company showed some positive financial results. On the side, Henin International Services took care of all the school formalities for my children, and helped developing an accounting system for my company. Henin International Services really removed my fear of the unknown and protected me from being taken advantage of while establishing in this country.
